Therefore, we have developed comprehensive training programs through partnerships with Training Services Providers.

As part of our training services, we offer the specialised training and hosting of learnerships. Learnerships are an innovative way for business to upskill their employees, whilst also providing them with an opportunity to gain valuable experience and qualification in their respective fields. By hosting learnerships, MPower aims to contribute to the professional development of drivers, ensuring that they possess the necessary knowledge and practical skills to perform their roles effectively.

We recognise that each organisation has its unique set of goals, objectives, and training needs. Therefore, MPower takes a customised approach to learnership training, tailoring the program to match the specific requirement of each business as far as possible. We work closely with our clients to understand their training goals and objectives, enabling us to design a training plan that best addresses their needs.

Learnership Program Structure

Theory classes: the learnership typically begins with theory classes where participants learn about traffic rules, road safety, defensive driving techniques, and other essential theoretical knowledge. These classes are conducted by experienced instructors who provide comprehensive and up-to-date information to the learners.
Practical Training: Once the learners have a good understanding of the theoretical aspect, they move on to practical training. This involves hands-on experience in a controlled environment. Learners are taught how to handle a vehicle, perform manoeuvres, and develop crucial skills like parallel parking, reversing, and emergency braking.
On-road Training: After the learners have gained some basic driving skills, they progress to on-road training. Under the guidance of qualified instructors, they practice driving on actual roads, highways, and different traffic conditions. This training helps them familiarise themselves with real-world scenarios and gain confidence in their driving abilities.
Professional Development: Apart from driving skills, a professional driving learnership also focuses on the personal and professional development of the learners. This may include modules on communication skills, customer service, time management, and stress management. These skills are essential for individuals who aspire to become professional drivers and interact with different types of passengers on a daily basis.
Mentorship and Supervision: Throughout the learnership, participants are assigned mentors who provide guidance and support. These mentors are experienced drivers who share their knowledge, offer constructive feedback, and ensure that the learners are progressing well. Additionally, there is continuous supervision during practical training and on-road practice to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
Assessments and Examinations: To gauge the progress and skill level of the learners, assessments and examinations are conducted at regular intervals. These may consist of both theoretical and practical assessments, including written tests and driving evaluations. Successful completion of these assessments is often a requirement to progress to the next stage of the learnership or ultimately obtain a professional driving license.
Job Placement Opportunities: A professional driving learnership often collaborates with various transportation companies or driver services. This provides learners with potential job placement opportunities after they successfully complete the program.
